Chiang Mai Cultural Exploration

- On this private tour we will wander the city alongside your guide and visit local temple in the city center of Chiang Mai’s most important temples is the Wat Chedi Luang located in the ancient walled part of the city. “The temple of the Great Stupa” It’s most prominent feature is the massive and very impressive chedi (pagoda) dominating the area. The chedi was ordered by King Saen Muang Ma to enshrine the ashes of his father.

- Following this we also make visit to Wat Suan Dok, Buddhist temple with large number of white chedis, Wat Suan Dok literally means “flower garden temple”.The temple derives its name from the location where it was built.The temple area was once used as a Royal flower garden by the ruler of Chiang Mai.

- After, heading to most famous temples, Doi Suthep Temple  which is located on the peak of the Doi Suthep Mountain and is the most famous landmark in Chiang Mai.  They say you have not truly been to Chiang Mai if you have not visited this temple!  on the top of the temple you can view the pagoda made in the architecture style of the Lanna Kingdom and shining with nassive gold and jewels. The pagoda is believed to enshrine the holy relics of the Lord Buddha.  A viewing platform also offers panoramic views of the whole Chiang Mai City where you can take in the wonderful landscape. The sound of temple bells, monks chanting and the fascinating view of Chiang Mai will fill your heart. 

 - Leave the Doi Suthep Temple, Drive about 40 min back to Chiang Mai city, and end excellent tour
